Go big or go home, that's the bottom line with this stunning Pro Street 1969 Camaro Z/28. Outrageous paint, a blown 468 cubic inch big block, and enough tire to plant it make this street-legal hammer one of the most potent machines we've ever featured. When you're building a Pro Street machine, subtlety is the last thing on your mind, and with that thought at the forefront of their minds, the guys who built this one gave it a screaming yellow base and then slathered vivid violet flames over its nose. Underneath that paint, however, there's ultra-straight sheetmetal that's been expertly modified to clear those giant meats out back, a stretch so subtle you'll need a stock Camaro to see where they've stretched it. There's also a cowl induction hood, but not so you'd notice with that giant blower sticking up through it, and plenty of authentic Z/28 badges, too. Is it a real Z/28? Who cares! It looks right, sits right, and with a blacked-out grille and ducktail spoiler, it certainly looks the part. Now look closely at the flames, they're not just plain purple, but taper back to magenta tips and that kind of work is neither easy nor cheap. If it's attention you crave, your car has arrived. Race-grade gear throughout the interior hammers home the Pro Street look. Bright yellow race buckets are the most obvious sign, but you'll also find a proper safety cage expertly installed so getting in and out is a snap. But you'll also note stock door panels, a stock dash, and even a factory steering column. Gauges are, of course, Auto Meter Ultra Lights, and yes, there's even an AM/FM/CD stereo that sounds decent when you're not running hard. Other race-grade gear includes rocker switches for the electrical system, a shift light on the column, and a fat yellow steering wheel that transmits directly to your cerebellum. The only downside? The trunk is stuffed full of aluminum, including massive wheel wells for the tires, plus a pair of batteries and a 14-gallon fuel cell, which makes this car streetable enough for long drives. The biggest part of Pro Street is the hardware, and this car doesn't disappoint. The block is a 468 cubic inch Chevy being force-fed by a BDS 871 blower with a wild Tri-Power setup underneath. An Eagle steel crank and rods make for a bulletproof bottom end, which you're going to need with 800 horsepower on tap-and that's on pump gas! A solid roller cam by Comp Cams gives it a nasty cackling idle and helps build the horsepower. It's backed by a built TH400 automatic with a 3800 stall torque converter and a trans brake, and out back there's an indestructible Dana 60 that's been narrowed and stuffed full of 4.56 gears so this sucker launches like a Saturn V rocket. A full Flowmaster exhaust system makes it completely streetable, and the suspension actually rides quite well on those big tires. Weld wheels are really the only choice for a machine like this, and they wear skinny 27.5x4.5-15 front and 29x15.5-15 LT Mickey Thompsons out back. Fast, loud, and ready to rock, you show up with this car and you're definitely The Man. Call today for all the lurid details! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
