We're not sure how you can look at this car and NOT think American Graffiti. The stance is straight up, the colors are timeless, the restoration is crisp and the car just has that cruiser vibe. V8 power under the hood, comfy seats inside and freshened running gear all around-grab your friends and ride! Imperial Ivory paint covers the entire exterior. While two-tone paint is common in show fields today, most '57s came in one color. Besides, it's refreshingly crisp, showing off the body lines in a different light. Gaps are tight and shut lines are crisp. There's a mile of trim on the car, and it's clean from the Dagmars up front to the fins out back. Dual mirrors help out with visibility while stainless window shades keep you cool and comfortable on long trips. Dual antennas out back are the perfect throwback accessory. All of the emblems and the grille are gold for a nice pop of color. The trim all belongs, too-this is a true Bel Air and not a dressed-up 210. Inside, you've got wall-to-wall red velour upholstery, which is a great fabric in a driver. Original vinyl might look more "proper" but after a couple hours you regret being stuck to it! Original trim accents the door panels while the cloth coverings are upholstered to match the bench seats. There's a reproduction steering wheel attached to a polished aluminum tilt column for easy ingress and your ideal driving position. New gauges are in front of you and there's a Classic Autosound cassette deck to your right. Three auxiliary gauges are below the glove box to keep tabs on the engine. All in all it's a great place to take a road trip. You'll have plenty of room for your stuff, too, in the massive trunk with a fresh reproduction floor mat. Pop the hood and you'll find a nicely detailed small block Chevy. This one's packing a surprise, however, thanks to its 383 cubic inches, and all that the extra torque across the RPM range is noticeable every time you step on the gas. Edelbrock was tapped to finish off the top end from the air cleaner to the new carb to the Performer manifold. There are modern safety items in the compartment, from the high amp alternator to the electric wipers to the dual circuit brake master cylinder to the electric fan. Power steering and brakes take the stress out of driving. Underneath, you'll find power transfers from the engine through a TH350 3-speed automatic to the 8.2-inch axle out back, while exhaust flows through a newer dual exhaust system with stainless mufflers. The floors and frame are clean, and they're connected by new body mounts. Disc brakes are up front for safety; new shocks are at all four corners. The suspension and steering pieces are new or refreshed. Rally wheels with '67 center caps are surrounded by 225/70/15 tires all around. The '57 Bel Air is one of America's true classics. It's instantly recognizable, timeless and fun to own. With power under the hood, a clean exterior and a comfy interior this is a great one to grab. Call us today!
