without registration Engine # 20636 - An original motorcycle sidecar - Recent restoration - A very robust and reliable machine The Moto Guzzi Alce (meaning momentum) was born in 1930, and was reserved exclusively for military use. This bike has been used during conflicts in Africa, Libya and Eritrea, and during the WW II. After the war, some military versions were converted to civilian use and Moto Guzzi started production of the touring version too. The Alce is equipped with a robust single-cylinder horizontal engine, with a side intake valve and an exhaust valve at the top. Mated to a four-speed gearbox and a swing arm rear suspension the Alce had a very peculiar shape. The bike we offer was originally equipped with a sidecar by Moto Guzzi. It was used in the "Corpo dei Carabinieri" in Italy and was in use till the 1970s for military purposes. It has been completely restored in 2000 and will be sold with a certificate of origin from Moto Guzzi and documents containing the specifications, as well as a 'chronologico' by the PRA who will register it as a collector bike.
