MV 125 Pullman Motocarrozzetta
Italian registration Engine # 525833 - Original coupling - Mythical brand - Rare and attractive - No reserve MV Agusta is known, of course, for it's the three and four-cylinder Grand Prix bikes with which it build its fame. The 125cc machines of the 1940s and 1950s and even later, are less known, but are nonetheless very interesting machines. The first was with a monoblock twin engine, a two-stroker, rather elegant, and derived from the 98cc bike of 1945, which developed 6.5bhp at 6000rpm, mated to a four-speed gearbox since 1953. The Pullman version was an attempt to attract fans of scooter: it featured 15-inch wheels, running boards and the controls on the handlebars. Despite its qualities, this motorcycle suffered a major disadvantage in price: at that time it cost double that of a Vespa or a Lambretta. The sidecar is as original and as attractive as we present and it was purchased in 1990 from a collector of MV Agustas by its current owner, after it had been restored. Its Italian libretto says "2 1" seat indicating that it is recorded as sidecar. With its Longhi pannier and theme in red and blue colours, this rare bike shows great originality and an irresistible allure.
