1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spyder ( GBP 24000 )
The Alfa Romeo 2600 designated 106 series, was Alfa Romeo´s
six-cylinder flagship produced from 1962 to 1968. It was the
successor to the Alfa Romeo 2000 and has become historically
significant as the last Alfa Romeo to have been fitted with an
inline six-cylinder engine having twin overhead camshafts which had
been the traditional Alfa Romeo engine configuration since the
1920s. The Alfa Romeo 2600 models were first introduced in 1962 in
Berlinetta (saloon), Sprint (coupé) and the Spider (convertible)
forms. Alfa Romeo only produced 2255 Twenty Six Hundred
Spiders between 1962 and 1965. Even rarer are the righthand
drive models manufactured in 1964, one of which is offered here
today. With elegant coachwork by Carrozzeria Touring of
Milan, the spider body and chassis were those of the earlier 102
series, the 2000 spider, with only minor changes. The
addition of a full width bonnet scoop together with distinctive
headlight positioning creates a more formidable appearance than the
earlier model. Designated a 2 2, the rear seats can be described as
occasional, however long distance high speed cruising was achieved
in comfort for two people.
This, numbers correct, 2600 spyder was supplied new in 1964 to the Alfa Romeo dealer in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Converted to righthand drive by them, the car was then sold in 1967 to Mr. Parsons of Holywood, County Down who kept the car until 1974 before selling it on to a gentleman in Belfast. The third owner, Mr O'Leary of Lisburn, County Antrim, kept the car for ten years selling the car again in 1986. The current owner purchased this Alfa from the forth owner approximately sixteen years ago and, shortly after, had the car repainted in the original colour and to a very high standard. Finished in red with black interior and black roof, this 2600 Spider has, in the last twelve months, had the engine removed and rebuilt, replacing the shell bearing, piston rings and timing chain. The aluminium cylinder head was sent to an Alfa specialist who overhauled it, when replacing the engine all the hose's were checked and renewed as necessary. The brake servo unit, brake master cylinder and the brake wheel cylinders have also been removed and overhauled. This has always been fully maintained by the vendors in-house mechanic, the car starts easily and idles smoothly with excellent oil pressure and correct water temperature. Supplied with a Northern Ireland registration document, a MoT test certificate which expires in August 2013 and an original 'Buff' log book. The view over the long classic bonnet is inspiring and awaits the lucky new owner.

1969 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 ( GBP 7500 )
The Volkswagen Beetle was produced from 1938 until 2003. With
over 21 million manufactured in an air-cooled, rear-engined,
rear-wheel drive configuration, the Beetle is the longest-running
and most-manufactured car of a single design platform anywhere in
the world. During the 1950's, the car was modified progressively;
the obvious visual changes mostly concerned the rear windows.
Towards the end of 1964, the height of the side windows and
windscreen grew slightly, giving the cabin a less pinched look;
this coincided with the introduction of a very slightly curved
'panoramic' windscreen. The same body appeared throughout 1966,
with a 1,300cc engine in place of the 1,200cc engine; it was only
in the 1973 model Super Beetle that it displayed an obviously
curved windscreen. It has been regarded as something of a 'cult'
car since its 1960's association with the hippie movement and surf
culture. The Beetle has made numerous appearances in
Hollywood films, most notably Disney's 'The Love Bug' comedy series
from 1968 to 2005, starring as a pearl-white, 1963 Beetle-racing
number 53, 'Herbie'.
This stunning righthand drive 1969 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 has had only two owners with a total mileage of 34,900 miles from new. The first owner purchased the car on 5th August 1969, he was meticulous regarding the interior and never removed the plastic covers from the seats, he also never took the car out in the rain. The vendor purchased the car in 1995 as a 21st birthday present when the car had covered 34,400 miles. The owner's father noted that there was car park damage to the bodywork so he had the car repainted matching the original colour and while in her ownership the car has only covered a further 500 miles. Finished in blue with off white interior this VW Beetle has never been used in the rain, it has always been fully maintained and the mileage is verified by the service book and the MoT test certificates. This magnificent Beetle 1300 is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in March 2014, a service book and invoices giving a full service history, old MoT test certificates showing the mileage and the original handbook. Opportunities to purchase any classic car with such a history and being kept in such good condition, are very rare - especially ones which have become iconic and have a culture all of their own!

1963 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint ( GBP 21000 )
The Alfa Romeo 2600 (series 106) was Alfa Romeo´s six-cylinder
flagship and produced from 1961 to 1968. It has become historically
significant as the last Alfa Romeo to have been fitted with an
inline six-cylinder engine having twin overhead camshafts. This had
been the traditional Alfa Romeo engine configuration since the
1920's but gave way to four-cylinder engines as the factory
oriented its production towards more economical mass-produced car
models after the Second World War. The 2600 Sprint made more of an
impression. It was a large grand touring coupé which could seat
four adults in comfort over long journeys at high speeds. The car
also inherited the sharp, modern styling of its predecessor, the
2000 Sprint, and that certainly contributed to its being the top
seller in the 2600 range. That shape had been the result of
Giorgetto Giugiaro's first major project as head designer for
Carrozzeria Bertone, and is arguably one of the most influential
designs in the history of automotive styling.
On offer is this three owner, righthand drive, 1968 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint which was delivered new to Belfast, Northern Ireland to its first owner, a Mr David Wood. He was not happy with the build quality and proceeded to have the car dismantled and reassembled to his own very high standards thereafter keeping the car for 18 years before selling it to the second owner. The car was then purchased by the vendor in 1995 from the second owner and, showing only a total of 52,500 miles, this very original and well presented 2600 Sprint is finished in black with maroon leather interior. Within the last six months a new clutch has been fitted. The car is supplied with Northern Ireland Registration document and a current Northern Ireland MoT test certificate which expires in May 2013. The Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint is fast becoming recognised for the fine tourer it is with prices on the increase. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine low mileage, righthand drive Alfa Romeo in excellent original condition.

1994 Jaguar XJ220 ( GBP 120000 )
The story behind the Jaguar XJ220 is an inspiring one.
Professor Jim Randall, the head of Jaguar's engineering
department started the ball rolling by sketching out some ideas
whilst on a Christmas holiday in the 1980s. It was the stuff
of fantasies - V12, 4WD, slippery body with ground effects.
Together with colleagues in the 'Saturday Club' at Jaguar, so
called because they met out of hours and at weekends to work on
unofficial pet projects, they toyed with the idea until Jaguar
started getting excited by the idea properly and official plans
were put in place to build what was to be the fastest ever road
car.
The Birmingham Motor Show in 1988 saw the unveiling of the powered concept with the design featuring a V12, fuel injected, 48 valve 530BHP engine delivering its output to all four wheels. Ultimately, the use of the V6 allowed the chassis to be shortened, although the proportions of this car are still truly impressive. The engine sits behind the two seat cabin, with a tiny boot available behind that. The styling is heavily influenced by the need to cool the highly tuned engine and also to provide sufficient downforce to keep the car steady at the 217mph top speed.
Chassis 220620 was born on 18th March, 1994 in the TWR headquarters in Banbury, Oxfordshire and released from the factory with delivery mileage of just 382km. It was then subsequently decommissioned three months later but re-instated again in November 1996 when it was purchased by Mr. R. Colton who exported the vehicle out of the UK to Guernsey for a period. UK vat was not paid at the time of export although the car was registered in the UK temporarily by the DVLA and 'P443 MXP' was temporarily issued.
Following that period, the car was destined to live in France at the Colton family holiday residence where it has remained to this day. During its time in France, 220620 was maintained by 'JFC Automobiles Jaguar' of Tours, France.
Upon its return to the UK a few months ago, 220620 was given to Jaguar XJ220 authority, Don Law Racing with instructions to "bring her up to speed" in preparation for sale. Over £25,000 has been subsequently spent to include a major service, new fuel cells, clutch and hoses to name but a few. A copy of this important invoice is supplied for inspection.
This visceral motorcar is one of just eleven lefthand drive XJ220 cars finished in Daytona Black and making her extremely rare indeed.
Not only does the odometer read just 16,798km, it is presented in immaculate condition throughout and has had just one owner over the last 19 years making 220620 very special indeed.
As you would expect with a completely original and well maintained XJ220, enclosed within the history file can be found the original Jaguar Sport build record sheet and the original thank you letter from Project XJ220 Ltd. signed by Howard Davies. Also enclosed is the original vehicle shipment authority, the original release note from the Browns Lane factory on collection day, the original temporary registration document and the original leather wallet containing all handbooks and owners manuals.
Interested parties should note that if this car is permanently imported into the UK then vat will be applicable and charged at 20% of the hammer price.

1935 Aston Martin 12/50 Standard ( GBP 105000 )
Aston Martin was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert
Bamford. The two had joined forces as Bamford & Martin the
previous year to sell cars made by Singer from premises in Callow
Street, London where they also serviced GWK and Calthorpe vehicles.
Martin raced specials at Aston Hill near Aston Clinton, and the
pair decided to make their own vehicles. The first car to be
namedAston Martinwas created by Martin by fitting a four-cylinder
Coventry-Simplex engine to the chassis of a 1908 Isotta-Fraschini.
They acquired premises at Henniker Place in Kensington and produced
their first car in March 1915 although production could not start
because of the outbreak of World War I. Martin joined the Admiralty
and Bamford the Royal Army Service Corps. All machinery was sold to
the Sopwith Aviation Company.
After the war, the company was re-founded at Abingdon Road, Kensington and a new car designed to carry the Aston-Martin name. Bamford left in 1920 and the company was revitalised with funding from Count Louis Zborowski. In 1922, Bamford & Martin produced cars to compete in the French Grand Prix and the cars set world speed and endurance records at Brooklands. Three works Team Cars with 16-valve twin cam engines were built for racing and record breaking: chassis number 1914, later developed as the Green Pea; chassis number 1915, the Razor Blade record car; and chassis number 1916, later developed as the Halford Special. Approximately 55 cars were built for sale in two configurations, long chassis and short chassis. The company went bankrupt in 1924 and was bought by Lady Charnwood, who put her son John Benson on the board. The company failed again in 1925 and the factory closed in 1926, with Lionel Martin also leaving.
Later that year, Bill Renwick, Augustus (Bert) Bertelli and a number of rich investors, including Lady Charnwood, took control of the company and renamed it Aston Martin Motors, moving it to the former Whitehead Aircraft Limited works in Feltham. Renwick and Bertelli had been in partnership some years and had developed an overhead-cam four-cylinder engine, using Renwick's patented combustion chamber design, and had tested it in an Enfield Allday chassis. It was the only "Renwick and Bertelli" motor car made. It was known as 'Buzzbox' and incredibly survives to this day.
They had planned to sell this engine to motor manufacturers but having heard that the Aston Martin car was no longer in production they realised that they could capitalise on the reputation of the Aston Martin name to give themselves a head start in the production of a completely new car. Between the years 1926 and 1937 Bertelli was the technical director of Aston Martin and the designer of all subsequent Aston Martin cars during this period; these being known as the 'Bertelli cars'. They included the 1½-litre 'T-type', the 'International', the 'Le Mans', the 'Mk. II, its racing derivative, the 'Ulster', and the 2-litre 15/98 and its racing derivative the 'Speed Model'.
Mostly open two-seater sports cars and mostly bodied by Bert Bertelli's brother Enrico, a small number of long-chassis four-seater tourers, dropheads and saloons were also produced.
The example presented here today represents an outstanding example of a late model Mk. II, four-seater and is one of only forty five produced between 1934 and 1935. The Mk. II was the final generation of the 1½ litre series which had already built a reputation for itself as one of the best handling and braking sports cars of the period. Indeed this model saw further improvements to the chassis, suspension and engine (now uprated to 73bhp), which made it one of the fastest point to point cars of the time.
EYT 978 is well known in the AMOC having won both the Edwards and Sutherland concours trophies in 1989 after a four year rebuild. She was little used after this, covering just over 4,000 miles in the next twenty years and, after 45 years of continuous ownership, was sold in 2009 to its present custodian.
EYT 978 has subsequently seen three summers of more regular use which has naturally highlighted a few items that needed attention. Consequently she has had some £7,000 spent on her recently to include new tyres; a suspension overhaul including re-tempered leaf springs and new bronze bushes; new brake linings; reconditioned magneto; reconditioned rev. counter; new exhaust downpipes and a number of cosmetic items including new paint to the rear mudguards.
Complete with her original leather upholstery she has been described by a marque specialist as "a rare example to near original specification" and comes together with a comprehensive history file.
Early Aston Martins represent everything that epitomises British motoring; triumph over adversity, great styling, superb engineering and heady performance. It is no surprise that these motorcars are highly prized and extremely sought after.

1989 Jaguar XJSC ‘Guy Salmon Jubilee Edition’
That Jaguar's XJS will become a 'bona fide' classic is beyond
doubt. Launched in 1975, its twenty one year production life was a
testimony to the excellence of its basic design. With all round
independent, coil sprung suspension, power assisted rack and pinion
steering and disc brakes, its excellent ride/handling balance was
justly praised by the contemporary motoring press. The XJS's
superlative 5.3 litre developed some 295bhp in later fuel injected
form and when allied to automatic transmission gave authoritative
150mph performance.
The dramatic styling of the XJS did not go un-noticed by one of the foremost Jaguar dealerships of the time, Guy Salmon. To this end, they decided to offer the public a limited edition version that encompassed a number of up-grades. These included the adoption of the four round headlights and additional design element to the centre of the grill. These were built in low numbers, sanctioned by Jaguar Cars at the time and, as such, very collectable.
With just one former keeper recorded on the registration document and the original set of Jaguar handbooks, this unusual example is certainly collectable and in reasonable condition, the electric hood functions correctly and detailed within the paperwork are bills from David Manners and NJ Restorations, both respected Jaguar specialists. Also included is the original Jaguar owners pack complete with all associated documentation including the service schedule with 23 stamps from Guy Salmon themselves. A rare and attractive sporting tourer, offered here at no reserve.

1964 Daimler V8 ( GBP 12000 )
When Jaguar got hold of Daimler they had a great 2.5 V8 engine
that Edward Turner had recently designed and had been putting into
the enigmatic Daimler Darts. They discovered it fitted nicely
in the Mk. II body shell and had the added bonus of performing
better than the entry level 2.4 litre XK units without out-shining
the larger power plants. The V8-250 used domed motorcycle pistons
to achieve its compression ratio. It's lighter than the XK-engined
Mk. II and so benefits from improved fuel economy. It also
had the option of a four speed manual gearbox with overdrive or a
three speed automatic box.
Originally white in colour, this automatic version presented here today sports silver coachwork contrasting well with a rich red leather interior the condition throughout is good with the leather showing wear but no damage. The original Motorola wireless is still in situ and she sits on chrome wire wheels. The history file contains a UK V5C registration document and owners manual.

1974 Jaguar E-Type Convertible 5.3L series III ( GBP 20000 )
In 1971, the Jaguar E-Type was 10 years old and needed a new
lease of life and the E-Type V12 was born. Once again, history
repeated itself and the new series III was a huge success when
Jaguar debuted its robust new engine in a sports car instead of a
slaoon, for which it was designed. Despite its sports-car heritage,
Jaguar depended on saloons for their survival and had developed its
twelve cylinder unit to power them with sufficient torque and
refinement. Jaguar shelved the convertible's 96 inch wheelbase and
gave all series III's the 105 inch span previously exclusive to the
2 2 coupés. A larger radiator inlet with formal grillwork and
subtle wheel arches to clear wider tyres were further changes.
Larger and softer in nature with weight redistributed 53/47, the
Series III had lost the wildness of its youth but gained the long
legged touring profile to which it was arguably better suited.
Robert Bell in Motorsport was quoted as saying at the time that
they "all expected to try a new engine. What in fact they drove was
a new car. Not a yowling, aggressive Ferrari-like machine with
which, perhaps, most people associated a V12 engine but a very
smooth, quiet and refined grand touring sports car."
Originally delivered to New York in 1974, this good-looking Series III E-Type is presented in classic silver with a contrasting black leather interior; it was then imported into the UK in 1999 whereupon it passed through the hands of three former keepers. An earlier restoration has taken place according to the history file and the paint is in good condition throughout although attention will be required now in some minor areas. Chrome wire wheels can be found at each corner along with a stainless steel exhaust underneath. A Moto L ita Steering wheel has been installed in this attractive and eminently usable example and is also supplied with a V5C registration document, Jaguar/Daimler Heritage Certificate and a number of MoT's. This classic British sportscar is offered at an extremely realistic estimate and can be used straightaway.

1991 Bentley Mulsanne S ( GBP 5000 )
The Bentley Mulsanne is a performance luxury car produced from
1980 until 1992 although derivative models like the Continental T
and Azure continued in production into the 2000s. The name
'Mulsanne' is derived from Bentley's famous racing history, which
included five victories at the 24 Hours du Mans between 1924 and
1930 - the 'Mulsanne Straight' being the stretch of the Le Mans
racecourse where cars reach their highest speeds. The new Bentley
promised to epitomise the very spirit of Bentley motoring by
offering ample performance combined with complete comfort. Launched
at the Geneva Motor Show in 1982 and produced until 1985 was the
Mulsanne Turbo. There was a 50% increase in power thanks to the
Garrett Airesearch turbocharger. There was the usual highly
polished walnut veneered fascia, blemish-free leather and carpets
and headlining of pure wool for the interior.
In 1987, the Mulsanne was spiced up by the introduction of the 'S' , although this model lacked its turbocharger, many of its other details were similar to the Turbo R, including that car's alloy wheels and interior with the suspension firmed up for a more sporting ride. The rectangular headlamps from the 1980s gave way to quad round units for 1989.
Supplied in dark blue with a contrasting pale grey leather interior and blue lambswool overrugs, this seemingly sound example appears to be in good order throughout. The door-cappings are in good order and the well-crafted leather seats are supplied with heat and electrical adjustment and memory. Complete with a V5C registration document, these understated motorcars are increasing in desirability and good ones are consequently sought after.
