This 2003 Ford Thunderbird is one of just 700 special 007 Editions built to commemorate the James Bond film, "Die Another Day." Fans will recall that a similar car was driven by Halle Berry in the film, and its special Coral paint job was designed to match Halle's bikini color. Yeah, I knew that'd get your attention. The truth is, it's the only commemorative edition of any kind to ever come from the James Bond franchise. Neither Aston Martin nor Jaguar have ever had such a vehicle, and if you're a Thunderbird fan or a Bond fan, this car should have a special place in history. With just 7027 miles on the clock, it's virtually new in every possible way, including the lovely Coral paint that truly replicates the 1956 T-Bird's special color. and finish are just the way the factory intended, and as a low-mileage collector piece, it has never seen rough weather or even the daily grind to work and back. Even the urethane bumpers show no signs of wear, and not a single scuff from a steep driveway or errant parking curb. All the Thunderbird badges that were inspired by the original 2-seater are still in place, and aside from the color, they took it easy on the 007 promotion which will make it easy to drive and enjoy without feeling conspicuous as with so many other special edition cars (I'm looking at you, Corvette guys). The special white leather sport buckets were also part of the 007 package, and their sizzling bright surfaces look fantastic against the bright Coral paint. You can tell someone's been gently sitting in the driver's seat, but beyond that, it looks absolutely new in every way. It's loaded with gear, too, including all the usual stuff: A/C, power windows, locks, and seats, a tilt wheel, and a thumping stereo that will let you blast the timeless James Bond theme at movie theater levels while you drive. There's also a discreet 007 commemorative logo etched into the engine-turned panel on the passenger's side. A black power convertible top is part of the package, and all 007 Thunderbirds came with a contrasting white porthole hardtop (although fans will note that Halle's car had a Coral hardtop in the film). The trunk is completely as-new, including the spare tire and top boot that stores neatly against the forward bulkhead. The 280-horsepower 3.9 liter V8 engine is the perfect partner for this personal luxury convertible. It's silky smooth, with a subdued V8 burble from the twin tailpipes, and great torque at virtually any speed. It gets a special Thunderbird engine cover to dress things up, and as you'd expect, everything is just the way the factory left it 10 years ago. It's backed by a slick-shifting 5-speed automatic that always seems to be in the right gear for whatever you're doing, and the fully independent suspension blends performance and comfort. Four wheel disc brakes are plenty powerful, and they live behind special 21-spoke chrome alloys that were part of the Bond package. It still wears its original 235/60/17 Michelin Pilot radials, too! Collectable for a variety of reasons, if you're looking for a late-model 'Bird to put away for posterity, this is it. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom.
