Fabio Taglione's arrival at Ducati in 1954 as chief engineer had a big impact on the character of the Italian marque. In 1968 the single cylinder models of the marque underwent a dramatic evolution, with versions known as 'wide case'.
The 250 Mark 3 on offer has the traditional set up with overhead cam driven by vertical shaft and bevel drive. It was bought in 1992 by its current owner, who subsequently had the car restored by a Ducati specialist and has ridden it little since. According to its French import plaque from 1971, it retains the original engine. The odometer of this appealing motorcycle reads 2,653 km. With dials on the T of the fork, slender two-tone fuel tank, elegant single cylinder and chrome Silentium exhaust, this machine is a perfect example of the stunning little Italian bike, with sophisticated engineering that gives it an outstanding performance.
