We see a lot of pickup trucks here at Streetside Classics, but rarely do we get them as meticulously built as this 1972 Chevy C10. Fresh out of the shop, it is immaculately detailed, expertly built, and tastefully finished. This is one of those vehicles that turned out just too nice to drive, which is why it's available today. The fellow who built it couldn't bear the thought of getting a scratch or nick in that lovely ice blue paint, so he's passing it on to someone who perhaps doesn't have the same emotional and financial investment in its well-being. That spectacular finish required more than $3000 just in materials, never mind the hundreds of hours spent buffing, sanding, and applying the finish. The truck was especially clean, with only the usual patches in the cab corners, along with a new tailgate to replace the dented original. A grille from a 1970 model was fitted just because the builder preferred the look, and fresh chrome bumpers were fitted front and back. New trim, a neatly sprayed bed liner, and tinted glass give it a highly refined look that's sure to collect trophies every time it's shown. That was the whole point of the build, after all. The bucket seat interior is up to snuff, with custom black seats, a center console and a whole lot of new equipment. In fact, everything you can see or touch IS new, including the carpets, door panels, and even the gas tank behind the seats! Power steering, power brakes, power windows, and A/C were all added during the build, along with a tilt column topped by a leather-wrapped Grant steering wheel. The gauges in these trucks are perhaps the best-looking factory instruments of the era, all fully rebuilt and with crisp graphics on their faces. A modest AM/FM stereo radio was fitted in the dash to keep with the original look, and bright blue rubber floor mats will protect those new carpets while looking exactly right in this truck's cab. It's every bit as nice as it looks. The engine is a fresh GM crate 350 rated at 330 horsepower. An Edelbrock intake and 680 CFM Holley handle the fuel side, with custom headers and a trick exhaust system managing the spent gasses. Check out the neatly arranged wiring, serpentine belt drive, and Edelbrock dress-up for the valve covers and air cleaner, all of which make this an engine bay you'll want to show off every chance you get. Literally everything under the hood is new! The original TH350 3-speed automatic was pulled, inspected, and fitted with fresh gaskets, while the 3.08-geared rear end was rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Stainless brake lines, front discs, and fresh U-joints round out the complete overhaul. The suspension was lowered two inches in front and 3.5 inches in back to give it the perfect stance without going sport truck slammed, and it rides on 15x8 chrome Rallys with 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson radials all around. Given the amount of work that went into the build, the asking price has to be a screaming bargain for the lucky new owner. You just won't find a nicer truck for less money anywhere. Call today!
