If it's attention you crave, few cars will deliver a crowd better than this 1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. Forget porky taxi cabs and police cruisers, this insane custom offers a slammed stance, incredible paint, and enough room for the Lakers' starting lineup. The Impala SS created a whole new niche of full-sized muscle, but the Caprice Classic shouldn't be overlooked as this car so ably proves. The paint is basic black over Corvette Sunset Orange with a bright silver stripe bisecting the two and ending in flames trailing along the rear quarters. Not only does it look awesome, but it fits the big car's curves in such a way as to mask its size and give it a nimble, high performance look. The work probably wasn't cheap, either, since finish quality is quite good with a shine that's dazzling and fit and finish that suggest that this car has never been hit or damaged in its life. A mesh grille smooths the front end without losing the car's identity, while custom taillights make a distinctive statement out back. Tinted windows emphasize the sleek shape, and the entire car has been completely de-badged. Inside, full-sized comfort meets performance car function, with black leather buckets flanking a center console. A billet steering wheel has been fitted in place of the chunky original airbag unit, and the digital instrument panel is factory-issue and surrounded with a contrasting silver bezel that matches the other interior trim. The seats show some character marks, but no damage or signs of neglect, and with this top-of-the-line car in 1995, everything was standard, from power windows to A/C. A big, honkin' stereo system has been fitted in the dash, with a Sony AM/FM/CD head unit and speakers throughout the interior and a trunk filled with amplifiers. A pressed flame headliner continues the exterior theme, and the trunk is so big it can handle the air tank for the suspension as well as a week's worth of luggage for five. Try that with your Corvette! Speaking of Corvettes, the Caprice was powered by a version of the LT1, detuned slightly but still robust and making plenty of torque. Shockingly, this one is still pretty stock, so it's reliable, docile, and ready to cruise any time with OEM functionality. A pair of Flowmasters with turn-downs ahead of the rear axles (for obvious reasons) give it a fantastic muscle car snarl that settles down on the highway, so you can cruise without getting worn out by your hardware. The springs have been replaced by a custom Air Ride setup that can slam the car on the ground, a feat made possible by removing the inner fenders up front and modifying the rear wheel tubs for clearance. Those massive wheels measure 22 inches in diameter and look like modern Torque Thrusts. Tires are ultra-low-profile 265/35/22 radials that still have a lot of life left in them. If you like these big bruisers, you can't own one that will get more eyeballs than this. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
