Cadillac Series 62 cabriolet
French registration - Beautifully restored - Full maintenance record - Symbol of the American Dream - Powerful and comfortable model In 1949, Cadillac began a revolution: the old side valve V8 engine gave way to a OHV V8 which was lighter, more compact and, of course, more powerful, since it developed 210bhp. A really modern V8, the Cadillac Series 62 became one of the fastest cars in the market, despite its size, good enough to carry six people in total comfort. It is this mechanical ensemble that powers the Cadillac Series 62 Convertible that we are offering, a car that was purchased in 1984 by its current owner at an auction "Art and Locomotion" organized by Hervé Poulain at the Palais des Congrès. This car then received, between 1985 and 1987, a very comprehensive restoration in the very reputed workshops of Lecoq, regardless of cost. The mechanicals have been redone at their garage at Sevastopol Courbevoie. A set of invoices and photos of the restoration are available with the car. Thereafter, maintenance has regularly carried out by Garage de la Poste, at Vésinet. This attractive convertible in ivory with red leather interior is in really good condition, and the counter displays just 74,830 km. It has a Hydramatic automatic and the window and the seats are all operated by hydroelectric systems, which also control the hood. Used regularly, all equipment is in good working condition. It is equipped with the radio which was then offered as an option at a price of $ 47, and the owner has installed a Eurocat catalyst so that the car can run on unleaded. With the soft growl of a big V8, this car offers the pleasure of travelling in style and comfort, while enjoying the sun when it's out.
