Maserati 125
Italian registration Engine # A6446 - Uncommon motorcycle - With motor home - Sports lineage - No reserve The relationship between bikes and the Maserati car brand with the same name is rather distant, but it did exist. Moreover, the two display a trident as an emblem. In 1910, Alfieri Maserati founded a subsidiary whose activity was to manufacture and sell candles and other electrical accessories. It is this subsidiary, acquired in 1937 by the Orsi family that became the car brand, which after the Second World War, decided to embark on motorcycle production of essentially small machines of displacements from 50 to 250cc after buying out Italmoto. This is the kind of bike which is found in races like the Milan-Taranto or the Motogiro d'Italia. Having met with limited commercial success, they were eventually sacrificed on the altar of survival for the automotive brand in the late 1950s. The Maserati that we present, elegant in its white and black livery, is in a beautiful condition. Still equipped with its single-cylinder 125cc two-stroker of origin, this is a pretty rare find and this bike will be delivered with the Italian libretto of origin.
