1973 Chevrolet Camaro ( USD 26995 )

This 1973 Camaro is definitely not about being subtle. Hugger Orange paint, spoilers, and a burly big block under the tall cowl induction hood all act as a warning to potential predators. And with more than 500 horsepower on tap, you'd have to be nuts to challenge this car on the street. Fully dressed in Z/28 regalia, this car looks like Chevy's top-of-the-line performance machine in every way. The wide grille opening flanked by slender bumperettes is a popular look, and the aftermarket cowl induction hood looks great on the sleek second-gen F-body shape. White SS stripes give it a bit of period aggression, along with both chin and deck lid spoilers to complete the effect. That Hugger Orange paint is vastly shinier than the stuff they were spraying on cars in '73 and proves once again that nothing can wear orange like a Camaro. Shiny chrome bumpers have obviously been restored, along with the stainless trim, and reproduction Z/28 badges have been fitted as needed. It looks pretty stock, but it's definitely not a low-profile car! Thoroughly upgraded, the interior is all-business, ready to manage 500 horsepower on the street. Deep, supportive buckets from Summit Racing certainly fit the bill, and are assisted by a set of 5-point harnesses. Fresh door panels, new black carpets, and a roll bar behind the seats all seem at home in a Camaro like this. The original dash is full of Auto Meter Ultra Light gauges in a custom panel, easily visible through the spokes of a fat Grant GT steering wheel. That Hurst cue ball shifter is linked to a Muncie 4-speed gearbox, and the stereo has been upgraded to a Kenwood AM/FM/CD head unit with a variety of speakers stashed throughout the passenger compartment. The trunk is neatly finished, and carries both the battery and an amplifier for the stereo, so it sounds impressive, even over the sound of the big block. Of course, that big block really is this car's whole reason for existing. It's a 454 punched out to 461 cubic inches and filled with a forged Eagle rotating assembly, oval port heads, and a seriously gnarly cam. The big block is a neat fit in the F-body's engine bay, fully dressed in Chevy Orange with slick aluminum valve covers, all of which really pop against the satin black engine bay. Other track-ready gear includes the electric water pump, auxiliary vacuum tank for the power brakes, and long-tube headers dumping into Flowmasters that really let the big engine sing. A polished high-rise intake with a 4-barrel carburetor lives up top, so it behaves pretty well on the street and is happy with pump gas. A big aluminum radiator assisted by electric fans is perfect for staying cool on those hot summer days. The Muncie 4-speed channels power aft to a 10-bolt rear with 4.10 gears on a PowerTrax limited slip, so most of those 500 horses can get to work. Classic chrome Rallys work well with the bright paint, and wear 245/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear BFGoodrich radials. Big power in a high-profile package means you'll never find any peace on the streets. But with a hammer this big, who cares if the nails keep lining up next to you? Call today!
