1926 Bentley 3 Litre Super Sports
Originally supplied in March 1926 to Mr E. Gordon Craig, Chassis NR 507 was a Speed Model example fitted with the same four-seat touring coachwork by Vanden Plas that it retains today. The Speed Model was extremely advanced for its time: brakes all round, a four-speed gearbox and genuine 90mph top speed – remarkable when one considers that most ordinary saloon cars of the period would have difficulty achieving half the figure!Briefly owned post-war by renowned aviator Douglas Wilson-Spratt, YM 57 was soon bought by Roley Fraser for the princely sum of £100. Acknowledging that the original 3-litre engine was “just about knackered and making a fearful clatter” he decided to upgrade to a 4 ½ Litre unit. A suitable engine was sourced and, once fitted, Fraser was soon out and braving the inclement Scottish weather, embarking upon the first of many tours with his Bentley in the winter of 1953. Fraser always regretted selling YM 57 in 1956 and jumped at the opportunity to buy her back in 1976. Fraser, along with his son, improved and upgraded YM 57 for regular use that included a long-range fuel tank and overdrive to the gearbox for long-distance touring. More recently YM 57 has benefitted from a full engine rebuild by marque specialists McKenzie Guppy Ltd, a full re-spray and re-trim by Neil Davis, a rebuilt gearbox by Brineton Engineering and a re-cored radiator. YM 57 is the rare combination of a late, ultimate specification Speed Model with its original aluminium skinned coachwork and spirited performance from the 4 ½ litre engine, as well as a continuous and documented history that includes one owner for the past 36 years. The Vintage car scene is becoming more and more active, especially with events such as The Flying Scotsman, and this Bentley is ready to embark on a new chapter in what’s already been a very active life.

1927 Bugatti Type 37A
There was no end to the breadth of competitive events that the Type 37A was entered in. From conquering more powerful machinery in Grand Prix to endurance races such as Le Mans, Mille Miglia, Brooklands Double Twelve and Targa Florio, the 37A was in them all. The artistry and engineering, as with all Bugattis, was breathtaking and only 76 of the much rarer supercharged Type 37As were ever built. Leaving the famous Molsheim factory in September 1927 with engine 182, 37283 was the second supercharged car, sold new to Omnia in Munich, before being acquired in 1932 by avid Bugatti enthusiast Belgian Alex Paul to join the T40 already in his stable. Paul kept a hand-written record of what he did to and with the car for the next 18 years. After competing in the 1937 Grand Prix des Frontieres a Chimay, Paul added a headrest and unique luggage to the Bugatti, and using a single Solex carburettor instead of the supercharger, in 1938 he and his wife took the Bugatti on an epic 4,000km tour of France, keenly keeping a diary of their adventure which was later created into hardback book form.In 1940, the Paul’s were forced to flee to the south of France. The journey was slowed due to refugee crammed roads, and the Bugatti was impounded by the armies of Marshal Petain. Paul, very concerned as to the safety of his beloved Type 37A, one night bribed a guard who was supposed to be looking after it, disappearing off into the night. Not wanting to risk losing it again, he drove it through the night with fuel they had bought from a pharmacy! For the rest of the war, the Bugatti was hidden away in Brussels. The 1946 Grand Prix de la Cambre saw the Bugatti’s final competitive outing, before being sold to M.R. Hamers in 1950. Hamers used the Bugatti on local rallies, parting with it in 1951 to another avid Bugattisti Stephane Falise who owned 37283 until 2009! For 22 of those years the 37A was kept company by the Leopold T59. Recently inspected by Bugatti historian David Sewell, whose report will accompany the Bugatti, the 37A is the perfect mixture of road and race car – encompassing the Grand Prix character, but not the highly strung nature, of the Type 35. With four owners, the last for nearly 60 years, this Bugatti Type 37A is certainly one of the most original and probably the last un-restored example in the world.

1974 Porsche 2.7 RS Touring
The Porsche 911 2.7 RS Carrera was publically launched at the 1972 Paris Motorshow. Designed so that the already dominant 911 could maintain its fiercely competitive reputation on the racetrack, at least 500 production cars had to be made in order to homologate the car for competition use in Group 4 racing. There were a number of significant improvements, from the iconic aerodynamic ‘duck tail’ rear spoiler to the legendary 2.7-litre engine. Chassis 1215 was delivered new in Touring specification, which incorporated all the best aerodynamic and mechanical improvements while still being fitted with a comfortable interior, making the Porsche ideal for fast and reliable everyday road use. Originally delivered in rare and very desirable Viper green, 1215 was in the ownership of one collector for over twenty years with an invoice file that shows he maintained the Porsche throughout his ownership regardless of cost. Recently the subject of a complete bare-metal repaint and comprehensive gearbox overhall, this fabulous example of the fabled 911 2.7 RS Porsche, unparalleled as a dual-purpose road and track car, is ready to be used and enjoyed by its next custodian.

1930 Bentley 4.5 Litre Blower
Having won Le Mans in 1928 and set numerous speed records at Brooklands, the 4 ½ litre Bentley was considered to be the ‘must have’ sporting automobile for the dashing, affluent young man around town! The most popular body style when new was the Weymann Sports Saloon, FS 3615 being such an example, built by the famous high-class London coachbuilders Freestone & Webb. Delivered to Captain C.D Leyland of Haggerston Castle, Northumberland, on 4th July 1930. He was a keen motorist and covered almost 6,000 miles in the first year! But by 1931 Leyland couldn’t resist another new Bentley and the factory service records show that FS 3615 continued to be regularly used by its new owner, covering a total of almost 46,000 miles by 1937. In 1956 FS 3615 moved to Australia, being bought by Mr T.P Cox. The car remained in his family ownership for over thirty years, before the Bentley – still in Australia – was purchased in 1988 by Alan Mingaye, a Bentley Drivers Club member who regularly used to take the Sports Saloon to Club events. Sadly, after the war the habit was to throw away the bodies of closed cars and replace them with Vanden Plas-style open four-seat versions instead, so only a fraction of those original, closed examples have survived. FS 3615 is the last known surviving example of an original Freestone & Webb Weymann Sports Saloon on the ultimate late specification, heavy crank and chassis frame 4 ½ litre. When taking into account that not only does it retain its original body but engine and gearbox also, this Bentley is not just rare – it’s unique. Repatriated to the UK in 2012, FS 3615 is accompanied by a report by marque historian Clare Hay who notes just how original an example it is. The subject of a thorough mechanical service by R.C Moss Ltd, this 4 ½ litre is one of the finest driving examples we have ever come across.

1926 Bentley 3L Le Mans
The road to success in motorsport is never an easy one, and W.O Bentley – the founder of Bentley Motors – was determined to succeed at Le Mans in 1926 after the frustrations of the previous year. A total of three cars were entered: two works examples and, to complete the factory effort, a private entry to be run by the competition department. This was a special order car for Tommy ‘Scrap’ Thistlethwayte, a charismatic, wealthy playboy who was well known for his racing exploits at the time. The Bentley Boy who was to oversee the building and running of this special Bentley, as well as to co-pilot the car during the actual race, was wartime hero and Bentley Boy Captain Clive Gallop.Thistlethwayte specified the short 9-foot chassis, making it one of only 14 Green Label ‘100 mph’ Bentleys produced. It has the rare tapered radiator and a Super Sports engine, while the body is unique. Le Mans rules stipulated that all cars had to carry a four-seater body, which proved a problem with the short 9-foot chassis. This task was given to Martin Walter, a specialist coachbuilder of the day who constructed the racey body that it retains today. The race for ‘Number Nine’ (as commonly referred to throughout the Bentley’s life due to its Le Mans event number) started well enough and by 4am on Sunday morning was lying third. However, fate played a cruel hand: at 8.30am on lap 105 a broken rocker cover finished its race. As history would relate, while the other two Bentleys failed to finish in 1926, one of them – ‘Old Number Seven’ – would return the following year, securing victory and initiating Bentley’s dominance at the famous La Sarthe circuit. Following Le Mans, Number Nine went on to compete at Brooklands and the Irish Grand Prix before being retired from racing. Following World War II, the Bentley had a number of enthusiastic owners, one spanning more than 40 years, before being acquired by its current owner in 2010. Recently, Number Nine has been used regularly and was seen competing on the 2011 running of ‘The Flying Scotsman’. The importance of Number Nine cannot be underestimated: with a unique Martin Walter body, not only does it remain one of the most original vintage Bentleys in existence, notably retaining its period engine, but it is the only 100mph Super Sports to have competed at Le Mans. This is the first time in the modern age that Number Nine has been publically offered for sale and represents an unrepeatable opportunity to secure a hugely important vintage Bentley.

1956 Aston Martin DB3S
Unquestionably, the Aston Martin DB3S is one of the rarest and most desirable of all the sports racing cars from the golden era of 1950s motor racing, featuring a race winning chassis and engine combination, and clothed with great style by the celebrated designer Frank Feeley. From only a handful of factory race cars there followed a number of production models that were campaigned with vigour across the world. Chassis DB3S/115 is one of those twenty production cars built by the factory. Delivered to Joe Lubin on the 26th March 1956, 115 made its racing debut at Bakersfield on the 20th May. Painted in the distinctive American racing colours of white with a blue stripe, 115 quickly established itself as the most recognised of all the competition cars in the thriving California race scene. Lubin continued to campaign the car during 1957 with Richie Ginther, Rob Oker and Bill Love sharing the driving. At the time Ginther was a rising star, later competing in F1 and claiming Honda’s maiden grand prix victory in Mexico in 1965. And it was in Ginther’s capable hands that 115 claimed its greatest success with second overall at Pomona. In early 1958 Lubin sold 115 to Bill de Creeft who repainted the car blue before racing it at eight events during the 1958 season. With a new decade came a new owner, Ron Keil, who made minor modifications to the Aston Martin to make it more compliant for road use, regularly using it on the streets of California. 1965 saw it acquired by its penultimate custodian, who kept the DB3S until the current owner purchased it from him in 2010.DB3S/115 has been restored to its original colour scheme and raced at the Goodwood Revival. With one owner for 45 years, 115 is an exceptionally original example. So as well as being race prepared, DB3S/115 represents the perfect embodiment of Aston Martin’s fabulous sports racing car, perfectly suited to both the road and the circuit.

1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT
1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT
Right Hand Drive: UK Supplied: Matching Numbers
One Owner Until 2012
Possibly The Most Original, Unmolested Car In Existence, 40,379 Miles From New
No small Ferrari has captured the imagination of aficionados and newcomers to the Maranello marque with such enthusiasm. Ferrari and their appointed styling house Pininfarina had created an icon. The new Dino 246GT was an absolute delight from all angles; its beauty, handling, sound, comparative affordability, and mid-engined layout was combined with unusually good all round visibility. Its reliability was said to be the first car from Ferrari that could safely be kept as the owner’s only car. The 246 Dino engine, with four overhead camshafts, was mounted transversely behind the driver and in front of the rear axle. Power to the wheels coming via drop gears to the transverse 5-speed gearbox, in unit with the differential and engine sump. Introduced at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show, detail changes for the 246 included new seats, iron engine block, bolt on wheels, a steel body, more power, better torque and a lower price
A revelation in terms of road holding and stability, nothing had been made like this before. Handling was like that of a racing car although the car was more user friendly and reliable than the big V12s. Styled by Pininfarina, and stunning from every angle, the Dino must surely rank as one of Ferrari’s all time classics and without doubt an appreciating asset. This is a very modern car and a real step in Ferrari history; it is the first model to be fitted with rack and pinion steering and mid-engine design. More generally it announced a new age for Ferrari as its concept and design, the 246GT was a much better car with a more powerful & torque engine and better road holding due to the longer wheel base. With its 195 HP it was able to reach 235 km/h as top speed and the kilometre in 27 seconds. The excellent chassis made the car much quicker than bigger ones and it is still a real enjoyment on small roads 40 years on. The interior is nice and refined, the large trunk and the high top speed made it also a real grand tourism car. The iconic Dino 246GT will remain as one of the best and nicest model built by Ferrari to date.
Our car was supplied on the 20th November 1972 via Hughes of Beaconsfield to Mr A Levy who commissioned the car to be built in Bianco Polo Park with a Black interior and the factory option of Electrically Operated Windows. Mr Levy was the custodian of this 246GT for some 40 years!
Accompanying the car is a comprehensive chassis file including:
• Manufacturers invoices to Maranello Concessionaires Ltd
• Original handbooks and documents
• MOT’s dating back to 1973
• Service / Maintenance invoices dating back to 1974
• The mileage of 40,379m is corroborated by the accompanying documentation
A surely unique opportunity to acquire what may possibly be the most original, unmolested, low mileage one owner (until 01.03.2012) 246 Dino GT that has survived to date. Our Ferrari is available for immediate inspection at our central London showrooms.

1966 Volkswagen Beetle ( USD 7500 )
REALLY NICE 1966 VW BEETLE, WITH A LOT OF CHARM. THE CAR IS IN GREAT CONDITION
This is undeniably a car with a huge “Cute Factor”. Anywhere I drove it, I got a lot of questions with older people laughing, saying “I used to have one of those!”
The car is in amazingly good condition. Floor pans are solid and the heater channels are in good shape.
It still has the 1300 cc engine and the 6 V system. Even in cold weather, it cranks and the engine starts without any problems. Most of the time, I did not believe it, as those 5 volt starters don’t seem to turn; but every single time I was wrong.
The car came in our shop with brake problems and pulled to the right. We rebuilt the brakes and installed new tie rods. Now it is tracking as straight as an arrow, even under braking.
The seats are the luxury fold-down back rest design, not often seen in these models.
The paint seems to be newer, and my only objection to the car is that the interior is a different color than the outside. Then again, you only notice that when the door is open.
A wonderful little car with a lot of fun miles left. She really is in amazing condition, shifts and steers good, and drives like a 1966 1300 VW Beetle.
The price is $7,500

1966 Aston Martin DB6 ( GBP 159950 )
A copy of the original build sheet for the car notes its delivery to the first owner, M Jordan of Sutton Coldfield when it was Silver Birch with Red leather and carpets.
In 1981, the car was bought by a Michael Ledger of Leamington Spa who acquired the car through a contact who was the vehicle service manager for a Warwick based engineering company – the car had been the property of the company’s Managing Director. During his stewardship of the car, Mr Ledger had remedial work carried out on the seats and upholstery. He also had a reconditioned automatic gearbox fitted, the Webasto sliding sun roof fitted and some engine work involving the valves.
In a letter to Byron International, Mr Ledger remembers this work being carried out by Aston Martin specialists, Four Ashes, who then sold the car on Mr Ledger’s behalf informing him that the car was being shipped to the USA by the new owner.
The car was in fact purchased in 1984 by Howard Laramy of Apollo Beach in Florida, later of Natchitoches, Louisiana. In 2004, he described himself as having been the “curator” of this car since that time and this possibly reflects the way that the car was maintained in that period.
It was kept at all times in an air conditioned garage and covered a total of 5,000 miles in the 20 years. In 2002, it had a bare metal respray with 30 coats of primer, block sanded between coats then finished in Aston Martin Vanquish Grey. New leather, carpets, headlining and window seals completed the work in that year.
The car was the “poster car” for the 2005 Orlando Winter Park Concours and actually took 2nd place to a Red Zagato.
The car was repatriated in 2012 by an enthusiast/collector who instructed Aston Martin specialists Newland Motors to re-commission the car for the UK and to his own exacting standards.

1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider ( EUR 38500 )
"A car has no business being so desirable" wrote Road & Track, when they tested the Giulietta for the second time. Not only where they impressed with the thoroughbred mechanics in form of its twin cam alloy engine and its inspiring behavior on the road. They certainly also where dazzled by its Pininfarina designed body. No wonder this little beauty became a symbol of its era. "La dolce vita", the sweet life of the late 1950es and one can easily picture a young Audrey Hepburn or Brigitte Bardot behind the wheel sweeping through picturesque Italian villages along the Riviera heading for the nearest café and a chilled, refreshing Aperol.
This Tipo 101 is a Texas car from 1962. It has a little longer wheel base than the first version, the Tipo 750. This provides more room in the cockpit and allows for today's taller drivers to find a more comfortable driving position.
In the years 2005 to 2007 it was subject to a total restoration by an experienced Alfa restorer. The body had suffered minimal rust in the dry Texan climate and needed only minor work around the front panel. Nevertheless it was taken completely apart and also engine and gearbox where totally rebuilt. New wiring loom, hood and interior completed the job.
The car has seen only summer use since restoration was completed and it is in wonderful condition. Mileage since restoration is less than 3.000 KM. EU VAT is paid and it has Danish registration, so no customs or VAT to be paid at import to other EU countries.
