1961 Lotus Elite
This Elite is very exceptional, as one of the very few S2, Bristol chassis/ZF gearbox, Left-Hand drive examples.
It also boasts a very rich period racing history with race wins in the hands of the Portuguese driver Achilles De Brito. It was acquired later by famous endurance racing driver "Eldé", who drove his Ferrari GTO to excellent results at the 24 H of Le Mans.
Originally silver with black interior this Elite participated in many races and won several victories in its class, ahead of bigger-displacement Porsche 356 and Alfa-Romeo SZ. The Coventry-Climax engine was prepared but bodywork and interior remained original, so once restoration will be completed, the car could be used both for GT touring or street use, and also for Historic Racing (eligible for almost all Classic races).
This beautiful car is very complete and ready for a thorough restoration ; this work had begun, but was put on-hold by previous owner. The engine is out of the car, and some parts have been dismantled to be restored.

1989 Porsche 911
1989 Porsche 911 SuperSport Cabriolet (M491)
Right Hand Drive: UK Supplied:
With the 911's future ensured, 1984 saw the launch of a replacement for the successful SC series. The 911 3.2 Carrera was the last iteration in the original 911 series, with all subsequent models featuring new body styling with new brake, electronic and suspension technologies.
A new higher-displacement motor, a 3.2-liter horizontally opposed flat 6-cylinder, was utilized. At the time Porsche claimed it was 80% new. The new swept volume of 3164 cc was achieved using the 95 mm (3.7 in) bore (from the previous SC model) combined with the 1978 Turbo 3.3 crankshaft's 74.4 mm (2.9 in) stroke. In addition, higher domed pistons increased the compression ratio from 9.8 to 10.3:1, new inlet manifold and exhaust systems were fitted. In 1987, the Carrera got a new five-speed gearbox sourced from Getrag, model number G50 with proven BorgWarner synchronizers. With the new engine, power was increased to 207 bhp (154 kW; 210 PS) (@ 5900 rpm) This version of the 911 accelerated 0–60 mph (100 km/h) in 5.4 seconds and had a top speed of 150 mph (242 km/h) as measured by Autocar.
The brake discs were increased in size to aid in more effective heat dissipation and improved oil-fed chain tensioners were fitted to the engine. To improve oil cooling, a finned cooler replaced the serpentine lines in the front passenger fender well. This was further improved in 1987, with the addition of a thermostatically controlled fan and the introduction of the M491 option; officially called the SuperSport in the UK, it was commonly known as the "Turbo-look". It was a style that resembled the Porsche 930 Turbo with wide wheel arches and the distinctive "tea tray" tail. It also featured the stiffer turbo suspension and the superior turbo braking system as well as the wider turbo wheels.
Our car was supplied new by Waldron of Kent on 13 of February 1989 commissioned to be built in Grand Prix White (P5V8) / Dark Blue hood with Dark Blue Hide. Accompanying the 911 is a comprehensive chassis file which includes sales invoices, MOT’s dating back to 1993 and Vehicle Registration Documents.
This Porsche is presented in absolutely superb order throughout and will benefit from a post sale service by an official Porsche centre. With just only 66 SuperSport models built worldwide in 1989 represents a unique opportunity to acquire a rare and fast approaching contemporary classic 911.

The car has been with one owner in Australia for over thirty years, and in fact has just returned to the UK for the first time since 1925! In the early 1980s, considerable expenditure brought the car up to a good standard, and maintenance since then has kept it well to this day. Clean, tidy, driving well, and offered newly MoT tested and UK registered.
Chassis No. GAK33. £45,000.
Snippets: Life Saver Sweets to Penfold Wines
Ordered by David Alexander Craig (1887/1950) an Australian entrepreneur & one of the country’s earliest & most successful company promoters; D. A. Craig registered trademarks for soaps & salt; he took out patents for batteries (as an assignee for an American firm), he introduced Smith’s Crisps & Life Saver sweets to Australia and helped the firms Masonite Ltd & Boral to secure their places within the marketplace. He married twice – firstly to Margaret Bennie (died in 1925) with whom he had a son & secondly to Marina Graciela de Lopez; although Marina was from San Salvador they actually married whilst in London during 1928. The Craig’s had homes in Paris, London & of course Sydney at Darling Point, past & present residents of this elusive & exclusive location include Nicole Kidman & Tom Cruise (Actors), Helen Reddy (Musician), Charles Kingsford Smith (Aviator), Gough Whitlan (PM of Australia) & Lara Bingle (Socialite). GAK33 was shipped out on the SS Maloja, the interior of which had been designed by the Hon Elsie Mackay,(designer, aviatrix, actress) daughter of James Mackay (1st Earl Inchape). The next name on the chassis card is that of Penfold Wines of Sydney – founded in 1844 by Dr Christopher Penfold & after his death in 1870 the winery was run by his widow Mary, upon her retirement in 1884 her daughter Georgina & son-in-law Thomas Hyland took over. In due course their sons Frank (1873/1948) & Leslie (1878/1940) (after having changed their surname by deed poll to that of Hyland-Penfold) took care of Penfolds which remained a family concern until the 1960s. GAK33 remained with Frank & Gladys until his death in 1948, Gladys was a lady of generosity & in 1967 she donated her Phantom V (with 200miles on the clock) to the Royal Blind Society of NSW! From 1948 to 1980 the car was with Neil Collins who had the car re-bodied by VM Engineering Ltd in the 1970s; in 1990 Neil entered the challenging Paris to Peking Rally in his 1920 Silver Ghost, he completed with only 3 punctures, a small bolt breaking on Magneto & the windscreen wipers literally “giving up the ghost”!

1955 Jaguar XK140 Coupe ( USD 87000 )
Offered for sale is an incredibly elegant and rare 1955 Jaguar XK140 MC Fixed Head Coupe finished in factory correct and timelessly sophisticated Pearl Grey over Dark Blue leather with Grey piping, a rare original factory specified trim option. It presents spectacularly, having just undergone a thorough cosmetic freshening while remaining mindful of originality. The car comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate proving that it is an original, numbers matching “MC” Fixed Head Coupe.
Only 1,959 left-hand-drive fixed head coupes were built, the lowest production run of the model. The most desirable option available was the Modified Competition (MC) package, or the Special Equipment (SE) as it was known in the European and International markets. This package included dual exhausts and fog lamps as well as, more importantly, a C-Type cylinder head (derived from the Le Mans winning C-Type Jaguars) and two larger H8 SU carburetors, a combination that brought the stock XK140 horsepower from 190 to 210. If you’ve been looking for an investment grade sports car that’s still at a price point where you can enjoy the full range of ownership (instead of just trailering it between shows and your climate controlled garage), then the XK140 MC – and this car specifically – deserves your serious consideration.
This car was originally distributed through Charles Hornburg of Los Angeles, delivered to its first owner in Corpus Christi, Texas where it enjoyed a well-loved existence, kept out of the elements and getting both regular use and maintenance until the late 1970s. It then made its way to California where it received similar treatment before being put away into dry storage around 1985. It remained there until 2006, when the heir of the deceased second owner discovered it and revived it mechanically. At that time the odometer showed a mere 32,000 miles, believed to be correct after analyzing the condition of the car and its mechanicals. It was used as a very original weekend driver until early 2012, which is when we were fortunate enough to have acquired it.
Shortly thereafter we began the year-long process of returning it to its original road-going glory, taking it completely apart, stripping it to bare metal, refinishing it in its original color, re-chroming everything, reupholstering the interior to its original factory specs and having the renowned Madera Concepts refinish the extravagant burled walnut dash and interior wood train. The engine ran strong with excellent compression, but the brakes needed to be completely rebuilt and a new stainless steel dual exhaust was installed for good measure. The undercarriage was thoroughly cleaned and detailed to ensure that it was completely original and solid. When entirely stripped there was no evidence of accident or rust repairs anywhere on the car.
It’s one of the most beautiful cars ever designed, iconic and revolutionary, and every true enthusiast’s garage – be it that of a significant collector or humble weekend driver – is deserving of a Jaguar XK. This is an exceptional and correct example that checks every box on a serious buyer’s checklist: rare and desirable MC option, finished in a timelessly elegant color combination, heritage certificate correct with a provenance that indicates a dry, well-cared-for history.
PLEASE NOTE: Per the Heritage Trust certificate, the car was sent to the distributor in September of 1955 and is titled as a 1956 model, likely due to that being the first year that it was registered.
