Numbers matching car. It is a XKE (E) Type flat - floor roadster built in 1961. The first officially imported in Italy by the Jaguar dealer of the time. Original old italian identification number (VIN) – iron plate on the back and on the front of the car (outside) black background with numbers and letters white TO – 871423 –
Founded in 2004 in very good original conditions (except for the body colour that was black instead than white as You can see from the heritage) and generally well maintained. So in the following two years I did some works on the back part of the car (differential gear, anterior and posterior complete brakes system, gasoline tank the most important). In 2008 I sold it. I really regret because it is very rare in Italy to have an old car with the original old VIN: especially if they are stranger cars. In fact all the other (99%) are with new VIN because they were recently imported from U.S.A. and from abroad in general). So when the man who bought it from me in 2008, some months ago called me back asking to me if I could be interested in buying it back … I could not believe. I bought it back immediately! In the period in which I was not the owner, were done other several important works (complete new body with special right treatments, colour, all new electric system, all new interiors and covering). In these past 7 months I finally did (and I’m finishing now) all the front and engine parts (for 22.000 euros): grinding (rectification) or the substitution of the needing engine parts and all the cooling system.
