REALLY NICE 1966 VW BEETLE, WITH A LOT OF CHARM. THE CAR IS IN GREAT CONDITION
This is undeniably a car with a huge “Cute Factor”. Anywhere I drove it, I got a lot of questions with older people laughing, saying “I used to have one of those!”
The car is in amazingly good condition. Floor pans are solid and the heater channels are in good shape.
It still has the 1300 cc engine and the 6 V system. Even in cold weather, it cranks and the engine starts without any problems. Most of the time, I did not believe it, as those 5 volt starters don’t seem to turn; but every single time I was wrong.
The car came in our shop with brake problems and pulled to the right. We rebuilt the brakes and installed new tie rods. Now it is tracking as straight as an arrow, even under braking.
The seats are the luxury fold-down back rest design, not often seen in these models.
The paint seems to be newer, and my only objection to the car is that the interior is a different color than the outside. Then again, you only notice that when the door is open.
A wonderful little car with a lot of fun miles left. She really is in amazing condition, shifts and steers good, and drives like a 1966 1300 VW Beetle.
The price is $7,500
