1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II ( GBP 8000 )

When the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was released to the public in October 1965, the development departments were displaying the result of work carried out over a period of some ten years. The new series was characterised by surprisingly modern features which broke new ground and away from many sacred design principles. The new models were technically striking in three ways: a monocoque chassis was used, all wheels were sprung independently and four wheel disc brakes now ensured stopping power of the kind expected in a modern car. Under the bonnet, the V8 engine which had been introduced in the Silver Cloud series was employed. In February 1977 the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was introduced. Outwardly the models were identifiable by bumpers with rubber inserts and edges made from polyurethane. The most notable changes mechanically were to the rack and pinion steering and modifications to the front suspension which markedly improved handling.
Originally supplied by Henlys of South London on 1^st August 1980, this Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II has been very well cared for throughout its 33 years on the road, having covered a mere 55,187 miles in that time. The service book with 19 stamps up until November 1999 and invoices from respected Heritage Dealers P&A Wood from 2003 through to 2009, indicate the mileage to be genuine and correct. The splendid condition is also indicative of a low mileage vehicle. Finished in Moorland Green over Pewter and with Beige interior, this car also comes supplied with a V5 registration document together with a full year's MoT test certificate and the original service book. A good example of a car which is increasing in value and becoming highly sought after.
