The first incarnation of the CTS-V, introduced in 2004 and based on GM's Sigma II platform, featured the then-current Corvette Z06 powerplant, the LS6-a signal to European manufacturers that the General was not playing around. Nurburgring Nordschliefe runs were quickly in order, with none other than GM's shoe-in-residence John Heinricy piloting the V around the Green Hell in Germany. The lap times were impressive, to say the least, and further proved that the car was not your grandfather's "get-me-to-the-Country-Club-and-back" Caddy. This takes it to a whole other level. Nickens Brothers Racing Engines built the 364ci LS2 into a fire breathing stroked 408ci beast complete with their ported and polished heads. A ProCharger D-1SC now resides towards the front of the CTS-V's engine bay, forcing 6psi of boost through the stock throttle body and into the FAST intake manifold. Obviously, it uses MSD’s ignition system, coil packs and super-conductor plug wires, all combining to make 540 rear-wheel horse power and 506 ft/lb of torque at the rear wheels. Hotchkis and BMR suspension components make a well-rounded ride that handles anything you want to throw at it. The red and black interior perfectly complements the red and black exterior with its blacked-out stock wheels. The paint was done by the nationally known Squeeg’s Kustoms in Arizona. Don't miss this one of a kind modern custom.
