This is a 1973 GTS 246 Dino Ferrari, chassis number *07226*. This is a European model originally sold in Italy where it has had two owners. It it located on the central coast of California and has been with the current owner for the last 24 years. It has been in regular service for the last four years and has been totally reliable during that period. In the last four years it has had a complete brake system overhaul, a full distributor overhaul, installtion of an MSD 6AL ignition system, a starter motor overhaul, a full four wheel chassis alignment, and new Michelin Harmony tires.
The car starts reliably, tracks true, and brakes very solidly. It pulls redline in first, second and third gear, verified by the California Highway Patrol, as seen in the photos. This is an original unrestored car, and the extra power of the European version is very noticeable when driven back to back with the US variant. It shifts typically for the breed when cold and shifts very well when warmed up. All in all it is a very solid, reliable daily driver.
The paint is 24 years old, in the original fly yellow, and it is in good condition, with no evidence of rust to be seen anywhere on the chassis. The belly plan is scraped and scuffed in a few places due bad loading by careless tow truck drivers. The odometer shows 56,070 Kilometers.
It is missing its jack and jack bag, spare tire hold down, removable top carry bag, the owner's manuals and manual pouch, and the right rear inner fender panel.
