1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Continental Mulliner Park Ward Drophead Coupe
Chassis Number: LSFU515 – Engine Number: SU257F - Design Number: 2045
This car is one of a just 49 left-hand-drive Silver Cloud III Dropheads by Mulliner Park Ward, and was first delivered to Pompes Maresi of St. Moritz, Switzerland on May 27, 1964. The Maresi family owned this beautiful example until 1990. Mr. Maresi had homes in Lake Como, Italy, Berwickshire, Scotland, Delray Beach, Fl. and Tuxedo Park, N.Y. The car traveled between homes until 1989 when it was shipped to Berwickshire, Scotland. The car was subsequently sold at an auction in London to a Mr. Peter Harper of Cheshire, England on March 24, 1990. Mr. Harper later sold the car to Mr. Ronald Benach of Delray Beach, Florida on November 10, 1992. Mr. Benach sent the car to noted Rolls-Royce restorer and dealer, Vantage Motor Works of North Miami, Florida for a complete refinishing. It comes equipped with air conditioning, power steering, brakes, top, windows, receipts, books and records. This is a rare opportunity to acquire an elegant and desirable coachbuilt open Rolls-Royce. Its timeless color combination and high level of specification add much appeal, while it’s excellent but not over the top condition will encourage the new owner to enjoy the car. The overall impression of the car is very honest, and it is highly evocative of the star-like quality these cars enjoyed while new, while also being a surprisingly modern driving classic.
