Original purpose built 67 Ford Mustang for the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds” 11 “On Camera” vehicles were built by Cinema Vehicle Services for the movie, 4 of those vehicles were completely destroyed during filming. 3 of the remaining 7 were sold to private parties. 2 are owned by the builder in their personal collection, one restored and one as it was at filming end. The remaining 2 are still owned by Cinema Vehicle Services with the intent to restore and keep for their archives. This vehicle is #9 (Designated by the order Cinema Vehicles acquired them) This unit was in the industry what’s known as a “Hero” car in this case meaning “it was used primarily as a vehicle the actor drove and performed in” as a side note Nicholas Cage did almost all of his driving in the film. He did not use stunt drivers for 95% of the shots. This vehicle was sold to a close friend of the owner of Cinema Vehicle Services 6 months after the movie was completed and that owner kept it in his personal collection until last year when he sold it back to Cinema Vehicle Services for personal reasons.
