Bentley Continental R coach Mulliner
French title - Exceptional model - 35 000 km from new, with excellent maintenance records - Luxury, calm and voluptuousness ... - 2 owners from new The famous Crewe firm is already under the control of Rolls-Royce for more than half a century when a "stylistic leap" occurred at the beginning of the 1990s. There is indeed a significant revival during the presentation of the Continental R at the Geneva show in 1991. After several decades, this is the first model from the brand that appeared with a distinct identity and respect for the values of the brand: with reference to sumptuous coupes of the 1950s and the 1960s, the Continental name resurfaced once again. The design, thanks to John Hefernan and Ken Greenley is assertive, simple and elegant. In mechanical terms, the effective solutions to the Turbo R are applied: a supercharged 6.75-litres V8, with max power between 385 and 420bhp, with a 250 km/h max speed. This Bentley was sold new by the Monaco dealer of Bentley and it was known the 'mercy' of the French Riviera, with the second and current owner having been maintained the car at Bentley's dealership in Cannes, where regular maintenance was assured, as evidenced by the invoices attached to the file. Being a Mulliner version, it is equipped with the engine developing 420bhp inherited from the model T. It comes in a plain blue livery adapted perfectly with beige leather interior. All elements of refinement and comfort that one is entitled to expect from such a magnificent car are very much there. Despite being "secondhand", it is in a very good condition and displays only 35,000 km from new. Four comfortable seats in green isn't overkill as this is one of the last representatives of British classicism and a baroque style in a car that can tame any road today.
