Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II
French title Engine number: 133 ES - Clear history and very original - Well documented maintenance records - In the same family for 24 years - Delivered new in Monaco This Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II was commissioned by Mr. R. Miesgaes via the French dealer Franco Britannic Autos and delivered on the 28th of March 1962 by air to Monte Carlo. According to the grapevine Mr. R. Miesgaes was a former fighter pilot of the Royal Air Force based in Monaco. Memories of the RAF remain in the car: an authentic RAF cap and two emblems on the grille. As indicated in the Rolls History Book, Mr R. Miesgaes asked the factory to install on the dashboard an aircraft chronograph "Chronoflight" by Jaeger, with a * days mechanical movement signed "LeCoultre", which had been mounted on his previous Rolls. In 1969, this car was sold to Mr. Claude Markx and then in 1985 the car was purchased by Mr. Ludovic Pivron. This Rolls-Royce was selected on April 27, 2002 to drive past Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, in the courtyard of Windsor Castle to mark the Golden Jubilee of the Queen. The history of this particular car was the subject of an article in the journal "The Bulletin for Rolls-Royce and Bentley Enthusiast". In 1988, the car was acquired by the current owner's mother who added an altimeter type that equipped Supermarine Spitfires. For 24 years, the car has been carefully maintained. The engine was completely rebuilt in 1995, the gearbox in 2005. A stainless steel exhaust has been installed, the suspension and brakes have been revised and the original air conditioning has been refurbished. Woodwork was restored in 2008 and the chrome bumpers redone in 2010. A recent review was conducted by Rolls-Royce specialist Américo Automotive. The car is equipped with tinted windows, the original radio works very well and equipment is very complete, the car having all acompanying documentation (manual, technical reviews, manufacturing sheets and factory particulars including shipping details).
