Ducati 999 Superstock 1000
Racing motorcycle Engine # 27994 A-022 - Preparation of high quality - Extremely efficient machine - Rare opportunity to buy a racing bike - Winner of the category "Sound of Thunder" at the 200 Miles of Daytona 2006 To replace the brilliant 916, Ducati unveiled in the 2003 the 999, a more sophisticated design yet. Designed by Pierre Terblanche, an architect of the pure Ducati line that was more modern, it received a 998cc V-Twin from the generation Testatretta. With four valves per cylinder with desmodromic valve actuation and its 124bhp at 9000rpm, the motor was installed in a tubular trellis frame derived from previous models. This lightweight bike (199kg) is extremely efficient. In 2005, it grew further and engine power went up to 140bhp at 9750rpm. It is from this model that were produced the versions Superbike and Superstock 1000. This is also the Ducati that in 2006 went on to win the Superbike Championship in the hands of Troy Bayliss, which emphasizes the qualities of his machine. Superstock versions (category with two cylinders, 600 and 1000) are closest to the series Superbike. The bike that we present is a version of Ducati 999 Superstock 2006. Between the hands of Monegasque rider Dario Marchetti, this bike won in 2006 the 200 Miles of Daytona, in the category "Sound of Thunder" for the team Guandalini Racing. It is a semi-official team, in conjunction with Ducati Corse. In 2009, the bike was sold to the World Corse team before being sold in 2010 to its current owner. Without the complexity of a competition machine of very high level, it enjoys a preparation corresponding to its quality in its category, including Ohlins suspension elements, Termignoni exhausts and Brembo discs with special "wave". It comes with a certificate of authenticity and the certificate of sale to the previous owner. With its beautiful preparation, it is an ideal bike for riding on the track and is highly collectible.
