The BMW 3.0 coupe with code name E9, is among the most beautiful BMWs ever built. The pillar-less coupe with the elegant lines just looks right from every angle. It has a sophisticated blend of macho aura and subtle feminine lines. The cabin is airy and with excellent visibility all around. Materials and details oozes quality and space is, if not a genuine 4-seater, a generous 2+2. The 3 liter engine with Bosch D-Jetronic injection delivering 200 BHP in this CSi version is a marvel. It pulls hard on high revs and with that sonorous sound that only a classic six cylinder BMW produces.

These cars where the pride of BMW and they were built to their highest quality. An E9 doesn't really have any weak points. Everything where designed and manufactured with durability and performance in mind. German engineering at its best. As a classic and now some 40 years old these cars have showed to be durable. A potential buyer should however look carefully for rust as these cars are quite expensive to restore and availability of body parts are almost non-existing. We have done all the work on this car.

We purchased this 3.0 CSi in Sweden about a year ago. The car was in relatively good condition with a perfect engine and gearbox that needed nothing except a full service. Bottom and sills needed work so we decided to take the car completely apart to empty body shell and start from scratch.

The paint was completely removed so all rusty body parts could be spotted and changed. With a perfect bare metal shell it was now primed and painted inside out in the correct BMW midnight blue 'Nachtblau'. Suspension, bushings, brakes, exhaust system etc. was rebuilt with new parts.

The interior was complete redone by a professional upholsterer with a long experience in German cars. Wood veneer changed to new and new quality carpets also in the booth. The tan leather is top quality and all the work was done to a very high standard.

We think that the result is quite stunning. A running E9 can be found on the market for less than this one, but the price we are asking does not even cover the restoration costs. All though we do not have a service record the total mileage from new on this Swedish car is believed to be 147.000 KM.
