Very rare LHD Bedford CA
The Bedford CA was a light commercial vehicle produced between 1952 and 1969.
Bedford’s, being part of the Vauxhall company, were build in Luton (UK) for the home market, but the LHD vehicles were made in Antwerp (Belgium).
This particular panel van model was build in Antwerp in early 1964 as the second series version without the split windscreen. Fitted with a 4-cilinder 1.600 cc petrol engine and a three speed gearbox. The car was delivered new to the firm Gheysen & Verpoort in Menen (Belgium) where it was used as a service vehicle. The car was obviously well liked by this firm, since they kept it until 2003 when it was sold to a Dutch collector with just 82.000 km on the clock.
Teh engine and gearbox are in fine working order, the brakes need attention.
The car comes with a Dutch registration and is a straight forward project for someone who wants to finish the work already started on the car. There are numerous new (spare) parts like rubbers, windscreen, brake master cylinder, lights, chrome, etc. and all the manuals.
An ideal company advertisement vehicle that has enough loading space to be practically used as well.
