Presented is a 1961 impala SS convertible of which only 453 were produced as either a hardtop or convertible from January- April 1961. It is an extremely rare convertible SS 409 with a 4-sp. It is believed that less than 10 were produced. This car has just completed a 100% original and correct rotisserie restoration. This car is possibly the rarest, finest, most complete (with correct parts) 1961 SS convertible known to exist. Under body painted correct red oxide color 1" whitewall debuted on the impala SS original gm floor console, general Detroit part # 3789569 original 4 speed shifter original hubcaps - no knockouts / new spinners original tachometer, sun 7000 rpm, original EB-9A sending unit correct matte finish & color of dash correct paint coded springs & spiral shocks (date coded) front-9 D 60 , rear 1 E 61 all parts re-zinc plated as factory correct 1961 impala SS is the first auto that the know famous "409" motor debuted in.
