1933 Fiat 508S Balilla Mille Miglia Spyder, This is one of just a handful of pure competition versions built in early 1933 primarily to compete in that year's Mille Miglia. This is a completely original example with full records and documentation from new. All matching numbers with verifiable records going back to the original owner. This FIAT still retains her ultra-rare SIATA OHV engine, Weber Carburetor, 12-volt Magnetti Marelli ignition system, full-four-wheel hydraulic brakes and four-speed gearbox. The second owner was the Comirato family, one of Italy's most famous racing teams. Alberto Comirato entered and raced the Mille Miglia 9 different times! His wife, Lia Comirato Dumas was an equally well known racer and would shortly after the war be honored with the informal title of "Queen of the Mille Miglia" in honor of her many, many entries in the1930s as well as after the war entries which saw her entered and racing in the Mille Miglia no few than 8 different times! 100% of the original and ultra-sexy alloy and steel Carrozzeria GHIA Coachwork remains fitted without any sign of accident or rust. All services are current and complete and this amazing pre-war racer is ready for all events, rallies, tours, races world-wide. With better proportions, handling and braking than any pre-war Bugatti or Alfa Romeo and the added advantage of hydraulic brakes and a full competition suspension system, this FIAT is a driver's delight. Please email or call me for additional assistance with this very, very special pre-war racer. bnoon@symbolicmotors.com (619) 840-7811 Nearly 100 high resolution inspection photos, scanned copied of the original sales brochures and all period records can be accessed using this link: http://symbolicphotos.weebly.com
