State-of-the-art Pro Touring Mustang built by a Master Metalsmith. This car has been featured in Hot Rod Magazine, Mustang and Fords Magazine, and the 2011 Budweiser Calendar. Thousands of hours were spent engineering and custom fabricating numerous one-off parts to perfectly wrap this Mustang around today’s top technology creating one of the most capable and best performing Pro-Touring cars anywhere. Power comes from a turbocharged aluminum 4.6L DOHC V8 built by MV Performance and producing an amazing 573 rear-wheel horsepower. It has a Holley Dominator EFI system, custom fabricated headers, and PT70 Turbocharger with an eBoost electronic boost controller. The turbo system was custom built to create a surgically clean look including fabricated stainless steel piping and air-to-air intercooler fit precisely beneath the custom core support. The transmission is a Tremec TKO five-speed manual with Spec Stage 2 clutch and aluminum drive shaft. The stock transmission tunnel was removed and replaced with a custom engineered piece that allows for precise driveline angles. Power exits through a Ford 9-inch rear with Detroit Truetrac, Strange Engineering axles, and 3.50 gears. Front suspension is Heidts Mustang II with KYB shocks and rear is Heidts 4-link with Panhard bar and adjustable coilover shocks. Front and rear NASCAR style anti-sway bars were custom engineered to bring handling to true sports car levels. The brakes are Cobra discs with Wilwood master cylinder and wheels are American Racing Shelby Cobra. The all steel teardrop hood scoop was hand formed using an English Wheel to combine classic Ford racing style with timeless Mustang lines. The interior was perfectly restored to combine stock looks with modern function as well. An original style dash bezel was hand fabricated to allow the display of eight Autometer gauges. The driver seat was lowered one-inch by cutting and refabricating the factory floorpan to more closely match the drive position of modern sports cars and a custom shifter handle was designed to perfectly match the new drive position.
