Please contact us for more information. 2005 Cadillac XLR Retractable Hardtop The Cadillac XLR was a two-seat retractable hardtop produced from 2004 to 2009. The XLR sported edgy styling and a folding steel top. The low-slung high performance XLR was Cadillac's most aggressive and unusual car. It shared the same platform as the Chevrolet Corvette and served as Cadillac’s flagship vehicle. Although the XLR had a stronger engine and a more aggressive body style than the corvette, Cadillac marked it as a touring car. The Cadillac XLR debuted at the 1999 Detroit auto show as the evoq concept car. Cadillac launched a slightly more tamed version—although true to the original design concept—at the 2003 Detroit auto show for the 2004 model year. It did not share its body style, interior or suspension with any other general motors’ vehicle. Cadillac extensively used aluminum suspension components and composite body panels to keep weight low, it still tipped the scales at 3,645 lbs. The price tag for the 2004 XLR was $74,435, but fully equipped version could command upwards of $98,000. a key attraction for buyers was the retractable hardtop roof, which lowered with the touch of a button, the XLR came with 18-inchalloy wheels and run-flat tires, heated leather power seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth, Bose stereo system and keyless start-up. It received few style changes or upgrades during its production run. The cabin features aluminum and wood trim. It did feature fuel level, speed and audio readout on the windshield. A Northstar 4.6-liter v-8 provided 320 hp and 310 foot-pound of torque matched with a five-speed automatic transmission for the standard XLR. It could go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. The XLR's stopping power is superb, with all-wheel anti-lock disk brakes and stability control. It gets 27 mph on highway. all Cadillac XLR models sat on a 105.7-inch wheelbase, with total body length of 177.7 inches. It had a low profile of only 50.4 inches, with a ground clearance of just 6.6 inches. It measures 72.3 inches in width. Cargo capacity is quite large with top up. This silver 2005 is in show room conditions with new performance Tires.
