The Build Sheet was located above the fuel tank and confirms the authenticity of the car. During the process, every part was disassembled, renewed, reinstalled, and the car re-painted the original GM Code 26 Mulsanne Blue with correct D88 Hood and Deck stripes painted white. The optional Cowl Induction hood is fully functional and added by the current owner. The car retains the original 454 engine T0615CPD11L182296 installed on 15 JUN 1971 and rebuilt during the restoration with engine performance upgrades to include a Comp 270H Cam, Edelbrock Air Gap Intake Manifold, Holley 750 Carburetor, MSD Ignition, Hedman Headers and 2.5 inch American Thunder exhaust system by Flowmaster. Originally, the interior was equipped with a bench seat and column shift. But later converted by the previous owner to bucket seats, floor shift, and console. The interior was renewed with vinyl seat covers, door panels, carpet, and headliner. To ensure a quite and rattle free ride, sound deadener by Hushmat was installed on the floor and other sound deadener material installed above the headliner and both inner doors and quarter glass areas. The SS Dash contains full instrumentation with tachometer and gauges. The AM 8 Track Player is correct for the year but non-functional. Awarded Editors Choice and Best of Class by Super Chevy Magazine; Bandimere Speedway 2010, Awarded Platinum Award at the Rocky Mountain Auto Show; 2009, and Runner-Up at the Colorado Camaro Car Show; 2008. This Chevelle was enthusiastically restored by the owner over a four year period and represents the 10th Chevelle built since 1991. The goal of the build was to keep the car as original in appearance as possible but add a few modern performance enhancements to improve drivability and ride quality. She can be fully restored to factory condition with little effort and cost or driven and enjoyed as is.
