1982 Mazda RX7 ( USD 9995 )

This 25,280 original mile 1982 RX7 is so exceptionally clean that it looks like it's been transported directly from the Mazda showroom to the present and hasn't aged a bit in decades. Early Japanese sports machines are definitely collectable, and exceptional original survivors like this remarkable RX7 are surely at the top of many lists for future appreciation. Mazda did their homework with the RX7, giving it a thoroughly modern shape that looked vaguely like the Porsche 944 and took a big step away from the 280Z. Folding headlights, smoked taillights, and compact dimensions made it look ready to start carving corners, and it was mercifully free of styling gimmicks. Even the bumpers were very neatly integrated into the overall design. This one's gold paint shimmers with an even glow and anyone who grew up in the '80s will instantly recognize this color. There's no sign of rust or accident damage anywhere on this incredible survivor, which is highlighted by a black pinstripe that matches the black rubber rub strips. Fit and finish is remarkably good, and just in case you've forgotten how Japan made their mark in the US, you need look no further than how well the doors and hood fit, how flush the headlights are, and how snugly it seals up, even thirty years later. The preservation on this one is rather remarkable. The interior dates itself a little more than the bodywork does, but the buckets are supportive and comfortable for long hauls, and it's a proper driver's environment. The original brown upholstery works well with the gold paint, and the first RX7 was definitely a rocket built for two. Almost everything was standard, and this one includes power windows, A/C, a rear defroster, and that massive sunroof that's totally removable and stows in the trunk. There's virtually zero wear on the seats, the carpets look like new, and the top of the dash hasn't been baked in the sun like so many of this car's brothers. Clearly marked instruments still look contemporary today (yes, that's a 7000 RPM redline on the tach, more on that in a moment), and even the AM/FM/cassette stereo system still sounds decent. The RX7's real calling card, however, was the revolutionary 2-rotor Wankel engine. No pistons, no crankshaft, no valves, just a pair of triangular rotors inside a beer-keg-sized housing. The design was compact and efficient, and happily spun to 7000 RPM and beyond with incredible smoothness. It's a delight to row through the gears of the standard 5-speed gearbox, and despite its reputation for complexity, a well-maintained Mazda rotary engine is a joy to drive. The engine bay is highly detailed and shows signs of care over the decades, and underneath it's extremely clean with no signs of trouble. Stylish 4-spoke alloys look '80s funky and wear 185/70/13 radials that are affordable and more than adequate for the lightweight RX7. This RX7 has always been cherished, and its extensive documentation including the original owner's manual and warranty booklets, vast service records that show off how much love this car has received, plus a clean CarFAX. This is the one to keep forever. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. For more information, please call (817) 764-8000 or toll free (855) 877-2707.

1969 Dodge Dart ( USD 29995 )

Now that 'Cuda and Challenger prices are through the roof, where are true-blue Mopar fans to go for their performance fix? How about this slick 1969 Dodge Dart? With all the styling cues that make its bigger brothers so striking, plus potent performance with a 340 inch small block, this is a car to be respected on the street. The bronze finish is a perfect 1960s hue that's back in fashion today, and the ultra-straight flanks on the Dart wear it incredibly well. The two-stage urethane has an almost impossible shine, and it looks sleek and slippery with a great glow in the sunlight. These guys spent a lot of money getting this car into shape, and you'll note that the door gaps are excellent and the twin scoops on the hood plus the bumblebee stripe give it a definite Mopar performance look. Even the grille is excellent, the chrome has been shined up, and tinted windows make it look extra slick. A lot of these were mere grocery-getters, but when you dress it up properly the way this one has been, it definitely has presence. Even the stance suggests speed and performance, and the whole car looks a lot more expensive than it is. The interior is where the Dart's economy-car roots are most evident, but that only meant that you could afford the hardware that mattered when you walked into the showroom in 1969. Nobody did big performance on a budget like Chrysler Corporation. The original bench seats have been reupholstered in tan vinyl, which looks awesome with the bronze paint. There are also correct door panels, relatively recent carpets, and a wide instrument panel with basic gauges. The steering wheel is a wood-rimmed Grant piece that adds a bit of upscale class to the Dart's passenger compartment, and the under-dash A/C system is period-correct and effective. There are also some white-faced auxiliary gauges underneath the dash plus the original Music Master AM radio with Mopar's favorite thumbwheel controls. The Dart also offers a surprisingly roomy trunk, with the one in this car featuring a new mat and a relocated battery, as well as an original jack assembly. The Dart's real claim to fame, however, is under the hood. No need for a big block when you have a lightweight shell, but the date-code correct 340 has been punched out to 383 cubic inches with a balanced stroker kit inside. It means the light weight handling remains but there's a bunch of low-end torque and a viscious snarl from the dual exhaust. An Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 750 CFM carburetor handle the intake side, assisted by Edelbrock aluminum heads, a big camshaft, and Keith Black pistons. There's a billet serpentine belt drive system, a big Be Cool radiator with electric fans, and a cool Mopar Performance dress-up kit, too. It's backed by a TorqueFlite automatic built for combat and a 3.73 gearset out back, as well as upgraded disc brakes and a set of sway bars front and rear, so it's quite manageable at any speed. Traditional chrome Cragars wear 195/65/15 front and 215/65/15 rear Pirelli radials. A very cool compact with big money spent in all the right places, documented by $25,000 in receipts. Forget the big names, the Dart will show them how it's done. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom. For more information, please call (817) 764-8000 or toll free (855) 877-2707.

1994 Porsche 964 Speedster ( USD 57500 )

Engine Type: 3.6 Litre Flat 6-Cylinder
Engine Number:62P05625
Color:Gran Prix White / Black Leather
1994 Porsche 964 Speedster VIN: WPOCB2965RS465336, Engine no. 62P05625 Grand Prix White with Grey Leather There were two very distinct incarnations of the 964 Speedster. The first being the 1989 model year Speedster. Shown at the 1988 Frankfurt auto show beside the upcoming Carrera 4, the 1989 Speedster actually shared more in common with the 930 turbo than with the upcoming 964 generation 911s, causing it to be looked upon, in retrospect, as a much inferior "driver's car" to the later 1994 Speedster. The 1994 version of the 964 Speedster is exceedingly rare, with just 427 examples having been delivered to the US marketplace. Unlike the 1989 model, the 1994 Speedster was based on the new Carrera 2 platform and was designed to be a more focused "driver's car" and served as a hybrid between a 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet and a 964 RS. It featured a softer suspension set up than the 964 RS, it offered select creature comforts of a normal 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet such as power windows, air conditioning, and a stereo. Although little known- perhaps for their rarity- the 1994 Speedster walks a wonderful line between performance and comfort, a combination which lends itself well to everyday use. Produced in June of 1993 as a 1994 year model, this particular example is a two-owner Bay Area California car from new, delivered in Oakland, California. It was optioned with a radio cassette player (included), air conditioning with full climate control, painted wheels with crest in rim cap, and black Porsche floor mats. Today, the car is best described as a very clean, enthusiast owned, no-excuses driver. The car shows beautifully, with very good paintwork over a straight, unmarked body. The body color painted wheels are in very good condition, as are windows, lenses, badges, and black trim pieces. The interior is also in very good original condition, with just minor wear showing on the driver's bolster, inevitable from ingress and egress given the competition shape of the seats. The engine bay, front storage area, and undercarriage are all in very good, unaltered condition, and representative of a well cared for 50,000 mile road car. This Speedster starts easily and runs strong with good power, a responsive suspension feel, and excellent brakes. It is current on its service, with the full 30,000 mile service having been performed at Sonnen Porsche in March of 2003, with 31,946 miles logged. Most recently, in November of 2011, at 49,500 miles, Sonnen Porsche performed a minor service and multi-point inspection. The tires were found to have more than 7/32" of tread remaining, the front brakes 90% remaining, and the rear brakes 60% remaining. The oil was changed and a new filter installed. Other records on file outline regular service, repairs, and enhancements such as the installation of a battery tender, new gas hood struts, and a new radio with CD player. Today the car has 51,600 miles from new. Included with the sale are records back to 2002 at which time this Speedster had just 30,000 miles, the Porsche issued certificate of authenticity, a car cover, a second key, the original cassette radio (replaced with a modern CD player) and radio remote control. The final model in a string of now iconic cars by Porsche, and one of just 427 examples delivered to the US marketplace, this clean, excuse-free, California car from new will surely appeal to the Porsche enthusiast looking for an eminently usable investment vehicle which is both practical and performance oriented.

The Targa Florio Classic trial, on the CSAI calendar with the Great Events, is open to vehicles built from 1907 to 1977, with special consideration given to the models that were entered in the world’s oldest race in period.
The Ferrari Tribute, the event that pays homage to the historic race on behalf of the Maranello factory, will also be taking place: an authentic regularity challenge which will precede the Targa, welcoming Ferraris manufactured from 1948 to the present day.
The Circuito delle Madonie, the soul of the Targa Florio where the bends in the roads have set the stage for the speed race from the first year the race was held, will be showcased. The programme includes a whole day on the Madonie – with classic cars that will return to race on the roads of the Piccolo, the Medio and the Grande circuits. The touristic and cultural aspect of the event will not be lost: the first days of the race will be a prologue to the event, with regularity trials taking place along the beautiful roads of North West Sicily.
